Decimals (1)
The first topic the children will learn about is decimals. They will learn to represent tenths and hundredths as decimals. The children will learn to divide one and two-digit numbers by 10 and 100.
Decimals (2)
The children will continue to learn about decimals during this half term. The children will learn to make a whole using decimals. They will learn to compare and order decimals with up to two decimal places. The children will round a decimal to the nearest whole number. They will learn the decimal equivalents for one half, one quarter and three quarters. Finally, the children will answer problem solving questions involving decimals.
Money
At the end of the half term the children will start their topic on money. They will learn to write money in pounds and pence. The children will order amounts of money and round amounts of money to the nearest 10p and £1.
