Log on to Oxford Owl and read ‘The flying Machine’ It’s quite a long one so you might want to do it in two halves.  It’s on Accelerated reader too so you could test on it.

Look at the ‘I spy and count’ work sheet. Count how many of each vehicle there is.

Create a tally chart. Then chose 5 vehicles and create a bar chart, graph or pictogram to show the results.

Balloon Ride

Have a look at the Balloon ride picture (at the bottom of the page) Complete the challenge on that is on the sheet.

Maintenance

Get your bike, scooter, skateboard etc or maybe use your adult’s car and give it a wash.

Write instructions on how to clean it.

Helicopters

Research parts of a helicopter. Then draw and label a picture. You could include details on what each parts job is.

Postcard

Imagine you have been on a journey. Write a postcard to someone explaining about you trip. What transport did you use? Was it a smooth ride?

 

Play any of the English games on Education city.

 

Visit this website and have a go at making some paper aeroplanes. Some designs are easy, other very hard!

Use Lego or do some junk modelling and make different types of transport. Don’t forget to send me some pictures or post them on the blog.

Chose a small object in your house. Can you make a boat that will still float when it is inside it?

Once you have made it, test it!
