In English we will start the term by learning to write fantasy stories. The children will then study a short poetry unit of work. To complete the year, the children will learn about and write autobiographies.
Our English curriculum:
The children will start by reading the text and looking at the key features of it. The children will learn the key spelling, punctuation and grammatical skills needed to write the text. Finally, the children will apply these skills to write their own version of the text that we have focused on. The children will also be learning to use the reading toolkit to develop their understanding of different texts that they read.
