Exploring the sunflower heads
We grew 30 sunflowers in the nursery garden during the summer.
The flowers have now faded so we dug up the plants and took them to the compost heap.
We saved some of the sunflower heads to explore outside.
The children used their fingers to pull off the petals and found the dark seeds.
We collected them in a pot so we can plant lots more sunflowers next year.
