In English we will start the half term by learning to write a fantasy story. The children will then study a unit on poetry. To end the half term the children will learn to write an autobiography.
Our English curriculum:
The children will start by reading the text and looking at the key features of it. The children will learn the key spelling, punctuation and grammatical skills needed to write the text. Finally the children will apply these skills to write their own version of the text that we have focused on. The children will also be learning to use the reading toolkit to develop their understanding of different texts that they read.
