English Please read through your spellings and write out three or more sentences using some of the words.
Make a list of words for what you think of when someone says 'Summer'. Here are some photos to help get you started. You will need these words for the next few days so remember to write them down.

Topic Look through the travel and transport presentation below. Talk with an adult about what you have found out this term about different transport.
Design and label a new form of transport. Can it fly? Does it have wheels? Could it go underwater? You decide! You can draw, paint or make your design and send photographs if you like.

Tuesday English Look at the word list you made yesterday. Today we are going to use those words to make alliterative sentences. Remember that alliteration means they have the same sound e.g. Super salty and squishy sand! We did this earlier in the year and everyone had fantastic ideas. Try to write four or five sentences using your words.

Wednesday English Read your reading book and choose a story book to read with a grown up or a favourite toy.

Topic Create a summer picture using the resources you have at home. this could be paint, collage with fabric or other materials or felt tip pens or pencils. You can make a beach or a garden in summer with lots of flowers. |
Thursday English Write out you alliterative sentences in your neatest writing and decorate them with pictures that match you writing. If you have written about a clever crab, draw one!
Maths Make a shape picture using things you have at home. How many circle are there? Squares? Can you find a hexagon?
Topic Create your own Sports Day at home or in the garden. You can have races and time yourself, use whatever equipment you have to make an obstacle course and get any adults or brothers and sisters to join in. |

Monday English and Maths Create a menu for an ice cream shop. How many flavours will you have? What might they all cost? Will you have cones and tubs? Keep your prices under 50p to help you when adding up. When you have finished your menu, try to make some simple additions to work out how much some would cost. Strawberry cone 20p + Chocolate tub 30p = 50p
Topic One of the favourite things we did this year as a class was designing and making houses. Have a go at creating a different type of house. You can use construction that you have at home or junk modelling materials or anything that you have available.
You could try to make a different kind of home like an igloo, a teepee or even a barge!
