    An Exciting Time for Change!

AGM 16TH November at 9.00am in the School Hall

CAN YOU HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE BY RAISING FUNDS FOR THE CHILDREN OF WHITWELL?

DO YOU HAVE SPARE TIME TO ORGANISE PEOPLE AND EVENTS?

ARE YOU ABLE TO COME TO THE MEETING TO VOTE FOR OUR NEW FWPS MEMBERS?

As you may be aware, we have a PTA, which we call Friends of Whitwell Primary School.  The PTA have worked hard over the last 30 years or more providing subsidies for trips, resources and equipment for school and organising hundreds of events over the years to raise the money for these.

Sadly, the PTA is struggling to carry on as we need more helpers and volunteers.  We need a new Chairperson as Hannah who kindly stepped up over the last few years has other commitments to fulfil. The role of the Chair is to lead and organise events such as the Christmas Fair, Summer Fair and any other fundraising ideas.  We also need lots of new volunteers and helpers in whichever capacity you can help.  We also need a new Vice Chair and a Secretary.

The meetings we have held in school have been disappointing as only a couple of people attend.  We totally understand how busy everyone is with work schedules, families and other commitments.  We are happy for the new Chair to hold meetings at a time and a venue that suits the majority.

If you can help in any way at all and rally round to gather a new FWPS group together then please feel free to come in to school and see Mrs Tomlinson who will be happy to chat with you.

Thank you, we need and value your support for our children.

    Kind Regards

    Mrs S Tomlinson
