Whitwell Primary School is an average sized primary school situated in the village of Whitwell, in Derbyshire. We currently have approximately 225 children on roll from Reception to year 6 plus a 52 place Nursery.

We are a fully inclusive school where all the children achieve in a happy, safe environment.  A school where children find learning fun yet where work challenges them to ensure they achieve their best. We want everyone at Whitwell Primary School to be the 'BEST' they can be in all areas and aspects of life both in and out of school and this underpins everything we do to ensure children get the very best out of their time with us.

We believe education to be a partnership between home and school and welcome involvement by parents in all aspects of school life.

Our motto is for the children to be the BEST - Believe, Endeavour, Succeed Together.

Our curriculum is planned to engage and motivate children and provide them with the knowledge, skills and values they need to achieve success and to become valuable members of society. We provide a range of extra-curricular activities and enrichment experiences, including a breakfast club and after-school clubs.
