In Maths we are using Power Maths in Y5 and Y6. Mr Moore teaches the Y5 and Mrs Tomlinson/ Mrs Anderson the Y6. We will be supplementing the work using the White Rose Scheme. Children will still consolidate objectives taught last year and the learning will be extended with age appropriate objectives.
Y5 will be learning about Multiplication and Division
Y6 will be learning about Fractions - simplifying, comparing, ordering moving onto addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Times Tables Olympics will continue in school and will be completed weekly. It is vital the children continue to learn their tables. Don't forget that there are games that they can play at home using Education City and Times Table Rock Stars. The children have individual log-ins.
