Welcome to Foundation Stage 2

Serengeti National Park

This year all classes in the school are named after a Wonder of the World.

Our class name is Serengeti National Park.

Our class time starts at 9.00am and ends at 3.20pm.

We will meet you on the Key Stage 2 (Junior) playground.

Please try to be on time as other classes will be meeting on there too.

P.E.

Our P.E. days are Tuesdays and Fridays. Please bring your child to school in their P.E. kit. 

Pirates and Mermaids

What a busy day we have had!

We have climbed aboard a pirate ship and walked the plank, danced like pirates, made our own pirate hats and mermaid crowns and even eaten a pirate ship cake!!

Poppy Hunt

As part of our Remembrance Day activities the whole school designed and made poppies. We went on a hunt to see how many different kinds had been made. 

Scooter Week

We have had some new scooters in school and this week it was our turn to use them. We have all enjoyed them and some of us have learned new skills such as gliding and balancing with one leg in the air! 

The Early Years Foundation Stage

We believe that the children's time at school should be a nurturing and enjoyable experience in which they are able to discover, explore and create in a secure and happy environment.  

The children learn through a mixture of planned and child-initiated play activities.

We follow the guidance given in the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (2014) and also plan activities to take into account the children’s differing interests, needs and abilities.

We subscribe to Tapestry which is an online learning journal which parents and carers can access from home. Through this app, we are able to share your child's learning at school with you.

 You are then able to add comments to your child's work, as well as add information about what your child has been doing at home.

The children love sharing their home learning with their friends and the grown ups at school.
