Spring Term Two
Science
In Science this term we will be learning about the properties and uses of materials. We will find out why certain materials are used to make objects and what makes them suitable for the purpose.
History
This term in History we will be learning about the history of toys. We will mainly focus on construction toys such as Lego, Meccano and wooden blocks, and the Teddy bear, finding out how it originated and how they have changed with the rise of technology.
Art
This term we will be looking at self-portraits. We will find out about the self-portraits of some famous artists such as Frida Khalo, Vincent Van Gogh and Judith Leyster, discussing our thoughts and feelings about the different styles. We will also produce self-portraits in a variety of media and styles.
PSHE
This term in PSHE we will learning about what makes us unique. We will find out what makes us who we are and learn to celebrate our differences. We will discuss how being respectful of other peoples differences and beliefs is important.
Computing
This term we will learn about coding.
