The whole school were divided into 4 teams: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. During an assembly the children were shown the flags of these countries and it was explained and shown how together they make the UNITED Kingdom.

The school was split into KS1 and KS2. There were different field events involving skills taught in their curriculum set out in a carousel . KS2 took part in: discuss, sitting throw, standing long jump, howler throw, shot putt, hockey dribble and basketball shots. KS1 took part in: football target, beanbag throw, javelin, basketball dribble, sitting throw and standing long jump. All children did each event in their Key Stage to earn points for their team. At the end of the events, the points from each event were added together to give a overall score and positioning. KS1 results were then added to the KS2 results and by the end of the day the results were:

The children remained in their country teams to take part in the track events.
KS2 were in the morning and KS1 were in the afternoon. The children did amazingly in the scorching sunshine.
1st, 2nd and 3rd position earnt points for their team and by the end of the day both Key Stage results were added to the overall score from WED 20th June 2018 to give a final score.
1st - Northern Ireland!
There was only 5 points between 1st and 2nd!!!
All children had fun and enjoyed both days!
