Year 2

• They will then focus on the properties of shapes.
• They will recognise 2D and 3D shapes.
• They will count the sides and vertices of 2D shapes.
• They will count faces, edges and vertices of 3D shapes.
• They will look at lines of symmetry.
• They will sort 2D and 3D shapes and make patterns with shapes.

• They will then focus on money.
• They will count pounds and pence.
• They will compare amounts of money.
• The children will calculate and problem solve with money.
• They will learn to find change.

 

• The children will then focus on multiplication and division.
• They will learn to use arrays and solve multiplication sentences.
• They will learn to divide by sharing.
• They will understand the 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
• They will learn to double and halve.
• The children will recognise odd and even numbers.
