Maths

Each week there will be maths homework linked to previous learning. The maths homework will be given out in a folder, which can be handed in as soon as it is completed. Maths homework runs from Wednesday to Wednesday. Completing this homework will earn 10 Wellians each week which can be saved for Wellian treats throughout the year.

Reading

For reading homework, I ask that children read at least twice a week at home and that this is recorded by an adult in their diary.  Completing this homework will earn 10 Wellians each week. This homework runs from Friday to Friday.

If children are reading at home more than this, then they receive an extra Wellian each time they read.

Spellings 

Year One children will receive spelling homework each week. They will start the year with 5/6 words and progress to 10. The words are a mix of common exception words and words that contain the spelling patterns that are taught in Year One. They will receive 10 Wellians when this is completed. The children are tested on these words on a Friday each week.
