Science

As Scientists this term, Year One will be continuing their learning about Materials. We will be naming and sorting common materials and learning about which materials are suitable for different jobs based on their properties. We will also look at how different materials can change shape and what happens when they get wet. Below is the Knowledge Organiser for this term.

History

As Historians, Year One we will be learning about toys from the past. We will learn about the different materials that toys were made of in the past and when some toys were invented. 

  

Computing

This term we will continue logging on and becoming familiar with Purple Mash. We will begin to look at giving instructions and start our work on coding.

Art

This term our art is self-portrait. We will be discussing a range of self-portraits and creating our own using different media. For example, collage, paint, clay and pencil.
