English

This term in English, we are diving into the exciting world of the Stone Age through the brilliant book Stone Age Boy by Satoshi Kitamura. It’s all about a boy who mysteriously falls into the Stone Age and meets a girl called Om. Together, they explore what life was like thousands of years ago — from hunting and gathering to making tools and cave paintings!

We are learning how to use our imaginations to create our own stories set in the Stone Age. We’re thinking about what it would be like to live back then, what we’d eat, where we’d sleep, and how we’d survive without modern technology (no tablets or pizza!). We’re using powerful adjectives, exciting sentence openers, and learning how to build suspense and adventure in our writing.

This topic links with our History lessons too, where we’re discovering real facts about the Stone Age. We’re finding out how people lived, what they wore, and how they made fire — and we’re using all that knowledge to make our stories even more realistic and creative.

By the end of the term, we’ll each have written our own Stone Age adventure story, and we can’t wait to share them with you!
