Maths
The children will be following the Power Maths scheme.

Year 2
The children will focus on time.
- They children will learn to tell the time to O'clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to.
- They will then tell the time to 5 minutes.
- They will learn about the number of minutes in an hour and the number of hours in a day.
The children will then focus on position and direction.
- They will use the language of position.
- They will describe movement and turns.
- The children will make patterns by turning shapes.
The children will then focus on statistics.
- They will make tally charts.
- They will answer questions on tables.
- The children will learn about block diagrams.
- The children will draw and interpret pictograms with different scales.
