VE Day Celebrations

Whole school celebrations to mark 80 years since VE Day

The children at Whitwell primary enjoyed a day of VE Day Celebrations on the 9th May. All the children dressed up in red and white blue to mark the momentous occasion. A whole school assembly was attended by all where they talked about life at War, how VE Day was celebrated all those years ago, and they enjoyed listening to lots of War songs, including the famous Vera Lyn. A fabulous day was had by all.
