Spring Term One

This term in English Year Two will be learning about play scripts and non-chronological texts with a focus text for the majority of the children entitled Journey to the Deep. We will continue to focus on weekly spelling and include punctuation and grammar lessons throughout the term.

The Year One children will be learning about traditional tales, reading, sequencing and finally writing their own simple versions of familiar stories. For the later part of the term they will be looking at instructions.

We will also continue to learn how to form letters using a lead-in for pre-cursive handwriting.
