Science

As Scientists this term, Year One will be learning about Materials. We will be naming and sorting common materials and learning about which materials are suitable for different jobs based on their properties. We will also look at how different materials can change shape. Below is the Knowledge Organiser for this term.

Geography

As Geographers, Year One we will be learning about The United Kingdom. We will learn to use an atlas and a range of maps to find and name the countries and capital cities of the UK and the surrounding seas.

DT

This term our art topic is titled 'Eat more fruit and vegetables'. We will learn about our favourite fruits and vegetables and then we will design, make and evaluate our own food using fruit or vegetables that we like. We will then evaluate our designs and flavours and decide if we like or dislike what has been made and if we would change it.
